Black Ops X2 1.3 MED
Greetings!
Glad to see dfreload is still around
Past couple days I have been working on a DFX2 Black Ops X2 1.3 map.
A problem I am running into is that the mission editor doesn't allow me to specify the weapon load out.
For a DFX2 Vanilla install, you can specify the load out.
With the mission editor that comes with the black ops mod, it is all grayed out.
I have tried using the default editor (crashes on windows 7)
Downloaded the modded version that Eagle_Eye referenced for Special OPs mod...
Tried Nile...
Nothing is working.
I have been digging through the PFF files, comparing default weapons.def file with the Black Ops - but I'm not finding any thing.
Any ideas? This is driving me crazy
Thanks,
IcIshoot

I run a COOP Black Ops v1.3 server called "The PlayGround" which is the home server for the -PG- Squad.
We started out with Black Ops V1.2 and did all the Beta testing for the 1.3 version. We are currently Beta testing V1.4.
One of the first things we noticed was there was no Weapons Loadout in any of the Black Ops versions. The modder has tried to get it to show up but
has not had any luck. Supposedly it has something to do with the increased number of available weapons in the mods.
The Weapons Loadout is only good for Single Player games anyway so we really don't miss it.
Are you using the V2.60 map editor for the mods? If not, here is a link to download it. It shows a lot more pictures of the objects. BO Med 260

Sorry for the late reply... I am using the 2.60 med, at least the version that came with 1.3 Final
I thought the weapon load out worked for multiplayer mode also - dfx2 med manual specifies it does, server settings allow for specifying allowing the
mission to set the weapons - in fact I thought I had it working, but that would have been 4-5 years ago.
In fact, just now I was able to remove the RPG from the weapon selection list, granted server was set to serve and play - my map making partner
hasn't been on so I haven't verified that it was missing for him.
I followed the following steps to remove the RPG from the list:
1. Fired up my copy of dfx2 vanilla mission editor, made a test map and changed the weapon load out to reflect the RPG being off. Save d mission
2. Opened up the MIS file in notepad and saw the weapon load out listed in the map, thus getting the proper format for disabling weapons.
3. Fired up the BO map editor, made my map, specified it as TDM and saved the mission - did not export.
4. Opened BO map in notepad, added
WPN_RPG ALWAYS_OFF to the weapon availability section. Saved changes.
5. I then opened up the map in the vanilla mission editor and immediately hit "export to binary mission" - didn't save or make any changes.
6. Loaded up the map in black ops and found that the RPG was removed from the armory -
How ever, dfx2 crashed as soon as I tried to spawn - I'm guessing due to using the vanilla map editor to save the black ops map.
I tried the editing of the map in notepad then opening it up in the BO med and just exporting, but it didn't seem to export into the binary my manual
edit - as if the whole weapon load out functions for the mission editor have been turned off.
In the long run it doesn't really matter - though I was looking forward to being able to make maps for specific weapons so that we could have knives
only maps with out having to adjust the server settings.
Has some thing happened to WTF squad? I tried to post this question over on their forums but the site doesn't load.

Don't know what happened to WTF Squad. One day they're there, next day gone.
I think the changes you described in the .mis file for the RPG affects only your computer, not the server. It's the same principle as trying to put
different objectives in BIN files for COOP maps. The new objectives will show up on your computer screen but no one else will see them unless they
have a copy of the BIN file also.
I make a lot of Black Ops COOPs for our server (The PlayGround BO V1.3) and use the 2.60 editor because its more up to date.
