I think we need some more specifics on the exact action the event should repeat and how the event is triggered. Although, I didn't answer you yesterday 'cause I don't have JO or DFX, I'm well experienced with DFBHD, so if I can't tell you exactly what you need, I'm confident that I can point you in the right direction.

Okay, I'll wing it:

So you have a train and driver inserted in the map. Set up a 3D area trigger around where the train spawns and another 3D area trigger where the driver spawns.

      EVENT START:
IF
Train is alive AND in 3D Area "Train Spawn" AND Driver is alive AND in 3D Area "Driver Spawn"
THEN
Redirect Driver to Waypoint "Pilot Train"
   Reset "Has visited waypoint" Driver
   Reset EVENT GO
   Reset EVENT DRIVER DEAD
   Reset EVENT TRAIN DEAD

EVENT GO:
IF
   Driver is Piloting Train
THEN
Redirect Train to Waypoint "Train Route"
   Reset "Has visited waypoint" Train

EVENT DRIVER DEAD:
IF
   Driver is dead
THEN
   Redirect Driver to Waypoint 0-0
   Reset "Has visited waypoint" Driver
   Reset EVENT START

EVENT TRAIN DEAD:
IF
   Train is destroyed
THEN
   Redirect Train to Waypoint 0-0
   Reset "Has visited waypoint" Train
   Reset EVENT START

The loop will only start when driver and train are alive at their spawn points.

Simple area triggers might work fine here, but I like using 3D area triggers, just in case.

My experience is that if you redirect anything to a waypoint, reset the "Has visited" flags. Most of the time it's not necessary and has no effect, but when it is necessary, it's there doing its job.

Redirecting things to Waypoint 0-0 when they die makes sure they don't immediately move on respawn.

As I can imagine it, this will probably work, but if it won't, we'll figure it out. I think we're pretty smart.
