AW2 4.30 Upgrade Review

First up - Thanks to the AW2 team for taking the time and energy to produce an update for the Advanced Warfare 2 Mod.

This upgrade comes in 2 formats:

A patch. (for those who do not want to un-install 4.20)

A full Version install. (which I recommend)

The first impressions of this upgrade you will notice is the increased speed of the install. I installed the full version and it took no time at all a lot faster than the 4.20 version install.

The new menu's are functional and well done. I like the extended length and width of the map listing's (getting lazy in my Senior years. lol) the menu is also easy to read.

I have had a look of the new terrains add in this version and look forward to designing some new maps on them I think they have a lot of potential for map makers.

I will update this topic with more information as and when I work my way through the improvements.

I noticed that the new upgrade stayed with the 1.6.9.2 executable as apposed to the 1.7.5.7 executable, there must be a good reason as to why and I hope one of the AW2 team could shed some light on this.

I have tried it with the 1.7.5.7 executable and it works which is good as I much prefer the later executable as it gives me more WAC commands I can use, such as;
Colour text & console massages, Ptext & Pconsol commands this used within a ploop allows you to target individual players with messages and a few more but this is not the place to discuss them.

I will keep you posted on how I go using the later executable.

Cheers for now
