Lots of DFTFD maps

To all TFD players and the Server Hosts. I have uploaded over 4,500 coop maps on my website. It was a collection of what I had and from other players.TFD MAPS, Each map pack contains 140 or more maps. Have fun with them :A

Hey Jabo1SFH

It only takes a few minutes to register with a well respected site you had to register here at reload to use the forums and leave comments in the download area.

Not sure why you say its not cool...:R

Without sites like Thor's you would not have map archives to download from now that Barracks is defunct, of course you still have NovaHQ which has been around as long as barracks.

Cheers

I happen to agree with jabo1. If you want a lot of people to download your stuff, it should be made as easy as possible for them to do it. Personally, I very often drop downloading stuff that I need to register for, except if it's something I really, really want to download.

Regarding letting people post in the forums, that's a different matter.

I'm not saying that ALL sites should be like that, though, only that I happen to agree with jabo1, and that I understand why he says it's not cool.

At our TXP site, people need to register in order to post in the forums, but not for downloading mods & utilities, etc...

you should not need to register just to download. thats the part thats not cool.

i have always looked at the register to download as forcing people to join a website/forums just to boost membership numbers.

when jinyx and myself ran mqbed, open access to download, but need to register to post. just like this site and dfb have always been.

I do agree there with the register to download thing. I go find different sites if I ever have to register to download. A lot of the time, after I register, I constantly get spam messages from them. I understand having to register to vote/leave comments (so a person doesn't do it anonymously a million times), but for just downloading it is annoying. If that is how you want to run your site though, it is your site, and I'll just find downloads elsewhere.
