Mapping Problem

I have one big problem with my maps when playing them, and that is that if the briefcase, intel files, blueprints etc. are dropped during the game and not picked up, the map will not finish.
I have Windows 7, was told (some time ago) to leave these particular items green and that would stop the problem but it doesn't work so what is the answer? It's most annoying getting killed when carrying one of these items and having to search all round the map to find the dropped item before the map will finish.
Help please. Thanks.:)

I remember a solution in DFx2, that had the takeable objects evaporate after being picked up (with some delay). This is more or less a formality, as to prevent the object being picked up again or destroyed.

Basically, I'm thinking you could set a WAC variable to 1 if the object is picked up, OR make sure that the "win-subgoal" event fires only once.

Time is not my enemy, although we do have many disagreements...
