.Cin files

I see on a topic in NovaHQ.net, all Novalogic files extensions..then i see: .cin = Cinematics file. Stores info on pre-mission cinematics. If the .cin is in the game folder, a cinematic
will play before the mission. Use CineTool.
Then..where i can get/download this 'CineTool'?

Looks to me like the author of that thread was just guessing about CineTool. I've been playing around with .cin and .end files these last two weeks, the information they contain is generally the same, they just use different extensions so the game knows which comes at the start of a mission and which at the end.

In both cases, you create these files with notepad.exe, but you'll need the MED for camera position and SSN information.

There are no stock .cin files in DFBHD, only .end files. I'm one of the lucky ones that has Comanche 4, and that game has a .cin file for every mission. After doing some .pff extraction and DeSCR decrypting, I found some useful information about .cin files, but not a lot.

I guess at some point, I should put up a thread about what I've figured out so far, but I've been meaning to do the same thing about .wac files, so some grains of salt are called for. I can say that making .cin and .end files is not nearly as complicated as making .wac files.
