AI Help


How do i get an AI to follow the entire waypoint list without stopping to shoot? i want the AI to shoot back but shoot while running, im trying to make an Ohama Beach type of map and when the Blue team AI see an enemy, they stop and just shoot, not moving on to the next waypoint.

How do i fix this?

As far as I know you can't the AI will stop to shoot at anything in the max & Min range the only way I can think of them not stopping is to make them blind, but then they will not shoot at anything.

When the Fire Timer is big enough and min engage is the same as attack range, AI will first empty a full magazine on his target, and then continue on his waypoint to run while shooting at his target. Not exactly as you wanted it, but better then staying at the same place all the time. There is only 1 problem, seeing as you posted this in the NILE section: the Fire Timer only works with MED. With NILE you can set the Fire Timer, but it does nothing in game. That's why AI in NILE maps never engages targets and fires non-stop. You will have to convert your project to MED for this to work.

I don't know of a wac command for that, but I don't know all the workarounds for NILE. But I never saw it in action either, in all the npj/npz maps I played it was clearly that the AI had a fire timer of 0. It's pretty easy to spot, if AI shoot non-stop and does not move, the fire timer is not set. The fire timer is also what can cause the friendly soldier with barret to fire just once, as well as the 1 second rpg guys that fire more rpgs then you can count.
