Convoy goes in circles...

in this map, there is a convoy of 6 and the blue line is the waypoint. all 6 cars go to the waypoint then circle around it(red cirlce), the cars speed is set to '20' patrol and combat spd and the wp diameter (right now) is 5 but ive tried setting it 10 and still same problem. why?

Try adding more way points to break up the sharp angles.

it worked at first, then, the cars started doing the same thing (circling) around another wp (circled in red)

I had this exact problem with vehicle waypoints in a DFX map some time ago (remember that one Ice?). If I recall correctly, I changed speed, waypoint size and tore my hair out and that vehicle still turned in circles.

The beauty of the MED is area triggers :D Vehicle enters area trigger and gets sent on its merry way to another waypoint.

Hey Tostitos...

Looking at your second attachment...

are your waypoints in the proper sequence, and not repeated??

(ie: WP5,0-wp5,1-wp5,2-wp5,3-etc.... not wp5,0-wp5,1-wp5,2-wp5,2-wp5,2-wp5,3-etc)

im leaning torwards on what rat has posted. once you added the new wp's, you need to make sure the rest of the wp's are in proper sequence numerically.

anyway, here is the map. when you open JO click on "Training" then look for Convoy revenge, get on the .50 cal in the vechicle next to you then wait. when i first thought of this map i was wondering if i should either make it in MED or NILE and i chose NILE because of the 3D option, but if no one has an answer then i will make it in MED.

Hi Tostitos,

The only platform I could get the mission to run is IC4. I get missing asstes in Jo & JOE.

I exported the mission to a mis file and look at in in the editor and found that waypoint number 4 is 1,3 was 0.0 and the first waypoint was 1.0.

I changed the 4th waypoint to read 1,3 and the 1st way point 1,0 the 2nd to 1,1 and the 3rd to 1,2 saved to mis.

Opened IC4 and it worked ok the vehicle moved to the end waypoint with no trouble.

The nile shows the waypoints to be in order.

The same goes for Niles little helper.

Cheers

Ice

PS have attached the mis file etc that works in IC4

To export from .npj to .mis you need Niles little helper which will cost you around $15.00 from the godfarther site.

or you download the .rar to unzip the .miss file from the link I sent you.

Rar file

Cheers

Hello there !
Have you checked you trigger(s) ?
It sounds like the ssntoWP command is triggered all the time. Maybe the condition is always true or you mispelled the condition.
vehicles will always go to the nearest WP on their list, that explains why they circle. They drive for a second then get a new trigger and return to the nearest WP. Just post that piece of WAC.
