Delta Force: Angel Falls ** OFFICIAL INFO **

Click on image for full size pic.

Very big thanks to ravenn, the uber director of design on NovaWorld forums. As a gift for us as the community beta testing his stuff, he's sent us a
link to this.
System Specs:
12 single player missions over 3 campaigns.
12 multiplayer maps supporting multiple game types including TKOTH, CTF, TDM & DM.
Utilizes real “Delta Force” scenarios, tactics and equipment in course of game through extensive
consultations with Delta Force operators.
Seamless large-scale environments encompassing land, air and sea-based vehicles.
Gratifying gunplay, well-balanced weapons, and tactically interesting dynamic environments.
Supporting up to 200 combatants, per game, in online play.
Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista
2Ghz CPU (Dual Core Recommended)
512 MB of RAM (1GB Recommended)
CD-ROM drive
800MB Free Hard Drive Space
DirectX 9.0 or higher
Set in the north-west region of Central America (near future in Colombia & Venezuela) “Delta Force: Angel Falls” takes the player to the rural,
sparsely populated, jungle areas of this exotic locale. Avoiding the over-exposed Middle Eastern settings; the South American environment provides a
premise which is naturally beautiful and full of new millennium conflicts.
Marginal governments, involved in local expansionism, continually scuffle with one another and with major global powers. Complicating the setting,
drug cartels have evolved beyond money and violencedriven entities to political forces rivaling established governments. Influenced by current events,
the game is both topical and novel.
The sometimes local philosophy of “your enemy is my friend and your friend is my enemy” gives rise to a multitude of ever-changing alliances and
conflicts which drive the game’s rapid action and easy-to-digest back-story. The culmination of the conflict takes place in the Angel Falls area of
Venezuela providing both a spectacular setting and a surprise ending.
July 2009 release date. And on CD-ROM...?
###Edited by EE###

* Pixel Shader 3.0 or better video card (ATI 1900+, NVidia 7900+ or better recommended)

Always have been...
Then again, there are games like Renegade and Rainbow Six where the levels take 45 minutes to an hour to beat... but I doubt we would see that from
Nova... The BHD campaign that was over the actual events was only 5 maps...

That would be really nice if you can man the horses on guns, just like the jungle birds on joint ops.

With this new look you gotta think its a new game engine there using.
I would be asking the question will there be a map editor?....
How difficult/complicated will it be?
If the average person can't make maps for the game then it will die a slow death..
The mission editors have been the only thing in nova's favor and kept the game alive due to the fact that anyone could build maps.

You can alter & paint the terrains with the Torque game engine editor also..
If that`s the case with dfaf, mapping will be extremely enjoyable.

I wonder if i will have to move to America to be able to play the new game. With JO and DFX i was unable to play. It was a let down for me and many
others. So my fingers are crossed tightly hoping it will be an excellent game, i so need to be able to play another game, BHD is getting long in the
tooth.

This has been a long time coming, I've been in need of another game for some time now. I'm also glad that I was wrong when I questioned as to
whether delta force was a dying game. I look forward to buying this one.

In my travels along the forums road.......I recently came across some posting that Angel Falls release has been pushed back again, this time till the
first quarter of 2010. Has anyone heard anything lately coming out of Novalogic? I can't believe they'd postpone the release of AF after having it
noted on sites such as distributors web pages that AF was still being released 07/09. This is getting very strange ...once again. Wouldn't seem to be
a good business model to offer to the general public. Just curious....I was hoping to get AF next month with the expectations that it might be a
decent game platform.

if u looks at the games currently released likfe bfbc2.... this game looks rather basic and graphics are pretty boring and old.... i think its time
for them to retire from the gaming industry , no more/ low budget productions just cant match it anymore...... and you guys would be settling for 4th
best by playing a game like like.....

I have seen some sites that show the release date is expected Q2 2010 and this link http://www.vgreleases.com/pc/ReleaseDate-202091.aspx is showing a countdown timer to an expected date of around end of June
mabe sometime early July . All we can do is hope that some definite info comes out close to or before the expected date at least.

Yeah but those screens are pretty old. There's no telling what they've added to it since then.

old screens and they were also using alot of recycled placeholders when those came out.
the new game engine is possibly based off the UT3 engine that nova bought a license for nearly 3 years ago.
only time will tell on what we get with DF: AF.

There was a video supposedly leaked of two developers talking about the DFAF engine. The video itself is of a short demo of the Osprey flying over a
snowy terrain on three monitors.
Think it's on YouTube somewhere...
